RE-SHIRT avoids textile waste and feels responsible to mitigate negative impacts of the textile industry on our planet.
20% of industrial water consumption occurs in the textile industry. A single cotton shirt costs 3000 liters of fresh water in production. This is mainly due to cotton cultivation – and this takes place exclusively in the global south, where there is a shortage of water anyway.
Our solution is based on the idea of a circular economy, which we apply to clothing. Borrow and reuse wherever it makes sense. Carefully recycle and reuse clothing that has already been produced and disposed of.
